Origin of Dogs
There is a large variety of dogs today, but scientists believe they evolved from wolves tamed by humans less than 15,000 years ago. Domestication of the wolf over time has produced many physical changes like: change in size, colour, and coat type. Intensive breeding by humans over the last 500 years is responsible for the dramatic differences in appearance among modern dogs and also purebreds. A purebred dog is a dog bred for many generations from a member of a recognized breed. When a two purebreds are bred they show the same characteristics as the parents, the coat color mat vary depending on the breed but the size and temperament is mostly the same as the parents.
